Handyman Connection Names Tampa Affiliate Franchise of the Year

Homeowners in the Tampa Bay area Trust Handyman Connection

(CINCINNATI, OH) -- Handyman Connection, the nation's leading provider of home improvement and remodeling services, recently named its Tampa, Florida affiliate office the company's Franchise of the Year. The award will be presented to local franchise owner Randy T. Smith during a ceremony April 6 at the company's Tampa office.

"Handyman Connection is very proud of what the Tampa franchise has accomplished in the last year," says Keith Hahn, Handyman Connection's vice president and chief operating officer, who is scheduled to present the award to Smith. "Randy Smith and his craftsmen are proving that success in business is truly the result of commitment to customer satisfaction."

Considered the company's most highly-coveted honor, the Handyman Connection Franchise of the Year Award recognizes outstanding achievement in four categories – dedication to customer satisfaction, overall growth, increase in sales and level of participation in Handyman Connection promotional programs.

Handyman Connection's Tampa franchise was established by Smith in 1999. Since then, the local franchise has posted 121 percent average annual growth. In 2002, the Tampa franchise performed nearly 6,000 home repair and remodeling services. More importantly, 35 percent of the franchise's 2002 sales came from repeat customers. Especially noteworthy, Smith recently received a call from the Better Business Bureau in Tampa, who commended the Handyman Connection franchise for the significant number of accolades the group had received from Handyman Connection customers.
